Dentalways, a dental practice with four locations in Central Arkansas, has launched a new social mission called Dentalways Cares in an effort to give back to those in need.
The official mission statement of Dentalways Cares is “to make a difference in our community by helping those less fortunate.” To achieve this mission, Dentalways will donate a portion of everything they collect as a local business to charities that benefit the community.
They have set the following goals for the program, to be achieved by December 31st, 2020:
- Improve the quality of life of 15,000 people in Central Arkansas.
- Restore to health 3,000 missing teeth with dental implants.
- Provide 150 people with the smile of their dreams.
For their first donation, Dentalways decided to give a total of $5,000 to three charitable organizations. They selected nine charities to be considered for the donation, and asked their followers on social media to vote for the three causes they thought were most deserving.
After over 100 comments and 50 shares, the following organizations were chosen: Arkansas Run for the Fallen, to receive $2,500, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, to receive $1,500, and Ronald McDonald House Charities of Arkansas, to receive $1,000.
