At the 2017 Arkansas PRSA/Arkansas ARcom Awards, the Arkansas Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America renamed its highest honor after the founder of the Sells Agency, Robert Kenneth Sells. The inaugural “Bob Sells Best of Show Award” was presented to honor Bob’s lifelong contributions to the public relations industry in Arkansas and nationally.
During his career, Bob served as president of the PRSA's Arkansas chapter, PRSA Southwest District Director and was elected to the board of directors for the prestigious Foundation for Public Relations Research and Education in New York. Addtionally, he was inducted into the national PRSA College of Fellows, a distinction held by only 350 public relations professionals nationally.
He launched the Arkansas chapter’s PRSA Prism Award competition, and in 2011 received the Communicator of the Year Award from the Arkansas Chapter of the International Association of Business Communicators.
Bob dedicated his life and work to advancing and enriching the PR industry, and we are stronger practitioners because of his contributions. From all of us the Sells Agency, we would like to thank PRSA for honoring our founder and mentor with the Bob Sells Best of Show Award!
